What you should know
What Does a CO2 Treatment do?
CO2 lasers are the gold standard in treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes as well as tighten skin and balance tone. Damaged skin tissue is removed, or ablated, stimulating new collagen production and heat energy is delivered to tighten the skin.
Other CO2 treatments are often accompanied by considerable downtime and risk while damaged skin heals. While many advances have been made to improve the side effects of CO2 treatments, ONLY your CoolPeel treatment will deliver a fractional ablative treatment without the downtime. There is minimal risk of hyperpigmentation, demarcation or induced infection and below is what you can expect.
What Are the Benefits of the CO2 Laser CoolPeel Treatment?
A revolutionary C02 laser resurfacing treatment, our exclusive CoolPeel allows you to experience all the same benefits of a fractional ablative treatment without the downtime and risk. It is proven to effectively reduce deeper facial lines, fine lines, sun damage, acne scars and improve skin texture, revealing healthier-looking skin – all with no social downtime.
How Does It Work?
Unlike traditional C02 lasers, the CoolPeel treatment uses a high-precision laser to lightly peel damaged skin tissue. The dead skin cells are then replaced by healthier cells, giving your skin a smooth, youthful appearance. The laser also utilizes a “spray” pattern technique to shorten overall treatment and down time.
Who is a Good Candidate?
CoolPeel is safe for all skin types (I-VI). A good option for men and women who want healthier, younger looking skin, but not the considerable downtime associated with traditional CO2 treatments. This treatment is not recommended for those with melasma.
What Can I Expect?
Your practitioner will thoroughly cleanse the skin in the treatment area and provide you with protective eyewear. You may experience a sensation like a warm light sandpaper against the skin. Slight tenderness or heat in the treatment area is normal, and will not last long. Your skin may have redness and peeling 1-3 days following treatment.
Most people will see improved skin tone and texture after the first treatment. For optimal results, a series of 4-6 sessions is recommended, depending on the level of the skin conditions being treated. To maintain treatment results, quarterly maintenance is recommended.
